Each year the European Commission offers 2 five month, paid traineeships, for 1,300 trainees; administrative or translation.
Starting on 1 March or 1 October, trainees gain hands-on experience of EU policy making in a multicultural environment.

European Youth Week 2019
The European Youth Week 2019 is approaching!
From 29 April to 5 May, more than a thousand events will be taking place across Europe under the theme “Democracy and me” in order to explore how young people can influence policy decisions and be active in European Society.

In the field of employment, social affairs and inclusion, political responsibility is shared between the EU and the member countries.
The European Commission:
- coordinates and monitors national policies
- promotes the sharing of good practices in fields such as employment, poverty and social exclusion and pensions
- adopts legislation and verifies its application in areas such as rights at work and the coordination of social security schemes
